Cocktail-History

The Swimming Pool is one of the most popular Cocktails in the U.S.A. It was created by an unknown Bahamas Bartender on an event in Argentina in the year 1983. The gentlemen invented the Swimming Pool when he prepared a Piña Colada adding accidentally Vodka instead of Rum, he then added Blue Curaçao to cover up his mistake. A jury member insisted drinking the Cocktail and applauded.

The Swimming Pool was created and named after the color of the blue shining swimming pool of the Buenos Aires hotel where the event took place. There are many other tales about the invention of the Swimming Pool, for instance some Cocktail lovers claim Charles Schumann of the Schumann´s bar fame in Munich was the creator of the Swimming Pool. Finally nobody really knows the truth.
